A Madman in a NY City UN Bldg!

View this short clip I’ve captured of “A Madman in a Jihad” Ahmadinejad prays to hasten coming of twelfth Imam and bring Islamic “victory.” How should we respond?

The following is from Joel Rosenberg’s Blog – http://flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made yet another inflammatory speech to the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday. He began his remarks by praying, “O God, hasten the arrival of Imam al-Mahdi and grant him good health and victory and make us his followers and those who attest to his righteousness.”

Imam al-Mahdi is another name for the “Twelfth Imam” or the “Hidden Imam.” Shia Muslims believe this Islamic messiah will come at the End of Days to destroy Judeo-Christian civilization as we have known it, force infidels to convert or be executed, and will set up a one-world Islamic government known as the “caliphate.” Ahmadinejad believes the way to “hasten” the Twelfth Imam’s coming is to annihilate the U.S. and Israel. This would bring about the “victory” that Ahmadinejad prayed for on American soil. The speech went downhill from there. Ahmadinejad accused the U.S. government of masterminding the 9/11 attacks in order to save Israel. Few in the West, including our leaders, understand what Ahmadinejad and his colleagues in the Iranian government believe. And that’s the problem.

What should we do in response? We need to “get ready” and “be prepared,” according to Ezekiel 38:7. We need to

  1. gather in small groups and as entire church congregations and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and
  2. mobilize others to pray, too.
  3. We need to travel to Israel to do prayer walks, and
  4. worship the Lord, and
  5. study and teach the Word of God, and to
  6. encourage Israelis that we are standing with them, and
  7. (encourage them) that the God of Israel loves them without limit.
  8. We need to care for poor and needy Israelis and Palestinians with unconditional love and unwavering support.
  9. We need to stockpile humanitarian relief supplies in Israel and
build infrastructure to distribute even more emergency aid when the next war comes.
  10. We need to strengthen the Church in the epicenter (Israel) in real and practical ways.
  11. We need to help our brothers and sisters throughout the region,
  12. preach the gospel and
  13. make disciples and
  14. plant churches and
  15. show that Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and the only hope of reconciliation.

Time is short, but our path forward is clear.

Through my forthcoming novel, The Twelfth Imam, I’m trying to help people imagine what the world would look like if Ahmadinejad’s world view began to come to pass.

Through The Joshua Fund, I’m trying to help us get ready for such a world, and to mobilize Christians to make a difference.

What is the Lord asking you to do?

Yom Teruah and the Settlers – MyRightHand’sArt #62 September 12, 2010

David Silver of Haifa, Israel, has come through for me again! Between him and many of the other Jewish believers in Yeshua who live in the land – lay their lives down and their sons and daughters lives down for the land – there is a wellspring for the entire body worldwide! Again, David flows with truth through his www.out-of-zion.com ministry newsletter. Please consider his words below.

I’ve just been so busy with uc4i.org and (related) democracyunderattack.org as well as with my “investing-in-the-future” projects – latest being the AtomGlue Hub – that I just haven’t had TIME to invest in learning what I NEED to know about –

A – The feasts of YHWH. Key, I’m convinced, to fully realizing our walk with Moshiach Yeshua, Melech HaOlam, and the end-time scenario.

B – The rapture in relation to the Jewish wedding ceremony.. I sense this is another key we all need to be more informed about.

I’ve been wanting to share on both of these with you during this season of “the last trumpet” and “the day and hour no one knows” (when the barley crop is “aviv” or “abib”) especially.

But then I saw this letter from David Silver and immediately felt the Lord say, this is good.

So, without further ado…

In Him who loved us to the end, Yeshua, our Beloved Lamb and Lion,

Toma

The Feast of Trumpets, the Rapture & the Settlers

Acts 3:20-21  “and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,  “whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.  (NKJ)

We are now in the season of the Fall Feasts of the Lord. I believe there is a strong connection with the Feast of Trumpets and the Rapture, but I was going to say that there wasn’t any connection with the Settlers,  I just wanted to cover 2 separate topics this week.  However as I was about to type that last sentence, I believe that the Holy Spirit apprehended me and showed me that there is indeed a connection between all three.

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS & THE RAPTURE    Firstly, lets take our annual look at the Feast of Trumpets or the Feast of Shofar Blowing as the Hebrew calls it.  This year the Feast fell this past Wednesday.  More commonly the day is referred to as Rosh Ha Shana, the Head of the Year – the New Year.  In my desire to be a BC (Biblically Correct) person and not a PC (Politically Correct) person I am not not interested in celebrating the New Year at this time.  According the Biblical instruction we are to have a holy convocation on the 1st day of the 10th month. Leviticus 23:24  Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy  convocation.    How can the 1st day of the 10th month be the New Year ?   Furthermore the Lord says that Passover time in April is the beginning of the year for Israel.   Exodus 12:2  This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you. (NKJ)  I was never one to follow traditions for the sake of tradition.  I would rather follow the instructions of the Creator.

I believe that one of the reasons the Feast of Shofar Blowing ( Yom ah Truah )  is now celebrated as Rosh Ha Shana, is that the enemy wants to conceal or mask the true relevance of this Holy Feast of the Lord.  Concerning the Feasts, God calls them His Feasts – His appointed times.  We believe that the Feasts of the Lord prophetically show the Lord’s plan of redemption for Israel, and those who are grafted into Israel by the Blood of Yeshua, to form the One New Man of  Ephesians 2:15.   Every major New Testament event thus far, has been precisely fulfilled on an Old Testament festival.  The next event we are waiting for is the Rapture or the catching away of the Body of Messiah.   I know there are people out there who dont believe in the Rapture, but I see it clearly in scripture, so please don’t bother writing to me about this.  Many Bible teachers who have a degree of understanding about the relevance of the Feasts, believe that the Rapture will occur on the Feast of Trumpets (when you hear the last trumpet – the trumpet of God and the shout of the Arch-angel).  We don’ know the year, but I believe we can know the day by knowing about the Feasts. That is why we recommend you do take the time to study the Feasts.of the Lord
There are a number of good resources for learning about the Feasts – you can find them through Google.

The simple way to celebrate Yom Ha Truah or the Feast of Trumpet is to gather together for a Holy convocation, thank the Lord for His amazing redemption plan and the soon return if Yeshua to set up the Kingdom of God in Jerusalem, and for sending Yeshua to be our personal Redeemer, read the Scriptures. pray, blow the Shofar of course, and share some good food together.

THE SETTLERS   Secondly I want to discuss those terrible trouble-makers –  the dreaded Jewish Settlers.  Well, dreaded in the eyes of the world’s politicians and the media.  Most Israelis, including ourselves, opt for living in the comfort and relative safety of larger towns and cities.  However the people the world calls the Settlers are in the main religious Jews who believe in God and believe in the promises that God made to Abraham.  They not only believe but they put their money where their mouth is, or should I say, they put themselves and their families where their faith says they can be, paying a high price to do. They pay by sacrificing the ease, comfort, and safety of life in the majority of Israeli towns and cities.  Sometimes they pay with their lives.   Last week as the Fall Feast season approached, four of the Settlers were ambushed and tragically killed in cold blood, for daring to live where God told them they could.  Much of the media ignored the assasination all, maintaining their focus on the Peace Talks, in the hope that the politicians will succeed in pushing the Israeli government to give away large parts of the Lord’s land –  the land where the Settlers choose to live in obedience to the Word of the Lord   Joshua 1:3  “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

Yes I know that the religious Settlers don’t YET believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, and some of them even hate Messianic Jews & Christians, but in another way they are doing the rest of us a great favour.  They are sacrificing  their own comfort and safety to claim and hold the land that is a part of all our  eternal inheritance as the Seed of Abraham. In doing this they are doing something that many Christians never do – that is put the interests of God ahead of their own interests.  If my understanding of Acts 3:21 is correct – that Yeshua wont return until the Times of Restoration are fulfilled, then without knowing it they are obeying 2 Peter 3:12.  By establishing their communities in what the World calls “the occupied Territories”,  but what God calls “My Land”, they are hastening the day of the Lord’s return.  They are advancing the final fulfillment of  Yom Ha Truah – the Feast of Trumpets –  the Rapture and the re-establishment of  The Kingdom of God on the Earth.

Therefore if you, like Josie & I, are looking forward to that great and terrifying day of the Last Trumpet, and the return of Yeshua, then we are all indebted to the Settlers.  “How do we repay that debt I hear you ask ?”

  1. We can stand with them and defend their right to occupy the Land that God promised to Abraham ( Gen 1
    5:17 – 19  & Psalm 105:6 -11 )
  2. We can pray for their protection and the protection of their wives and children
  3. We can pray effectively & fervently for their Salvation  –  that God will honour their faithfulness in the natural by opening their eyes to spiritual truth
  4. We can pray that the current Settlement building freeze will come to an end as scheduled at the end of this month

The Lord bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel.
Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God.  Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims,  and please remember to pray for all of the soldiers in the IDF -they are defending and fighting for the Kingdom of God.
