My Right Hand’s Art #07 Mar 2005 – What on earth is happening in Israel?

These Gush Katif children in the Gaza area will be expelled from their homes if you don’t speak up.

The land is being divided and devoured before our very eyes, according to ancient prophecies in our scriptures!

And arab children are once again being used by the Palestinian Authority and it’s associated terrorist groups as “suicide bombers” to kill innocent Israelis! See for the horrible details and precious pictures of the (now) 5 innocent Israelis murdered in this heinous fashion! When will the world decry Palestinian terrorists for this horrifying activity!?!?!?

See what scripture says?

I will gather all the nations. I will bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. I will judge them there. They scattered the Israelites, the people who belong to me, among the nations. They divided my land. (Joel 3:2)

And what will YOU do about it?

This month’s “My Right Hand’s Skill” is special. It is an appeal to you to “come into this water… a little deeper still!” Ezekiel 47:4 Therefore it’s long… really long.

I’ve presented this first part as my summary. You could stop there. (You could even unsubscribe!) Or you could at least breeze through the subsequent topics I’ve included that are written by others. Part 4 will blow you away if you’re the least bit concerned about the children in the above picture!

– – – – – – PART 1 (ONE) – – – – –

See how Gaza was given by God to Joshua?

Joshua 13:1-3 – Joshua was old, near the end of his life. So the LORD said to him, “You are old, near the end of your life, and there is a lot of land left to be conquered. 2 – The land that is left includes all the districts that belong to the Philistines and Geshur. 3 – It extends from the Shihor River, east of Egypt, northward as far as the border of Ekron. This is considered to be Canaanite territory, even though there are five Philistine rulers over Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron, as well as the Avvim people.

And ask.

“Did God ever – anywhere in scripture – command Israelites to not capture these lands? Or, once captured, to surrender them to their avowed enemies?”

See the increased context of Joel 3?

Joel 3:1-4 – 1 “In those days and at that time, I will bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem. 2 I will gather all the nations. I will bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. I will judge them there. They scattered the Israelites, the people who belong to me, among the nations. They divided my land. 3 They threw dice for my people. They traded boys for prostitutes (See Lars Enarson’s note about the proposed “international gay festival” this august in Jerusalem!). They sold girls so that they could buy wine to drink. 4 Now what do you have against me, Tyre and Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you paying me back for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will quickly pay you back for what you have done.”

1st Kings adds a curiously appropriate thought to the idea of rewarding a suicide cult (See especially Item 5!) “… thus says G-d: Will you murder and also inherit? In the place where the dogs licked up the blood of Naboth, the dogs will lick up your blood as well.” (I Kings 21:19)

A better question should be – “What does scripture suggest/command we do about it?”

In the same context of God’s word to the Philistines of Gaza –

Joel 3:9 Announce this among the nations: Prepare yourselves for war. Wake up the warriors. Have all the warriors come near and attack.

Educate yourself with this week’s lengthy discourse and speak to your pastor and to your prayer partners and make some phone calls to your senators and representatives and let’s activate!

Israel! Keep your land in Gaza! It’s NICE land! God wants you to have it! Don’t give it to the terrorist entity called the Palestinian Authority!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, yes, but also pray for the peace of Gush Katif and the other communities under threat of eviction!

Israel giving more land to the Palestinian Authority will not secure safety from suicide bombings.

It will only encourage more.

Prayer Alert – The Elijah Prayer Army – Feb 27, 2005

• Strengthen the Feeble Hands, Steady the Knees that Give Way!

We have a word from the Lord for all of you this week. It is Isaiah chapter 35, and we encourage you to read the entire chapter. Verse 3-4 says,

“Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, ‘Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.'”

We have both good news and bad news. The bad news is that the disengagement from Gaza and northern Shomron (Samaria) is the worst mistake so far in modern Israeli history. The good news is that in the midst of this horror, the Kingdom of Heaven will advance. We must be strong and we need to be encouraged. Nobody said it would be easy. But there will be victory. Hallelujah!

We are reminded of what a Messianic Jewish leader said several years ago, “If the physical birth of the state of Israel cost the death of six and a half million Jews in the Holocaust, what will the cost be for the spiritual rebirth of Israel?” Sin must first be exposed, before there can be repentance and salvation in the entire nation. This process will not be easy.

Now is the time to strengthen feeble hands and steady knees that give way. It is time to be encouraged, to be strong and to not fear because God will come! We believe that 2005 will be the most important year so far in the modern history of Israel and we must stand together in prayer like never before. It will be a year of salvation in the midst of conflict as we continue in strong intercession for the salvation of Israel. God has everything under His control, but this year will be a battle that will require much prayer. Now is a time when we must encourage and support one another and stand together!

The withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000 was heralded in the Islamic world as the first victory over Israel in 52 years of conflict. To the cheers of the Palestinian masses, Yasser Arafat then proclaimed, “We are all Hizb’Allah!” and made the decision to launch the bloody terrorist war that we are still in today, a war that has caused unprecedented suffering for Israel. The withdrawal from Gaza will bring about even worse consequences.

The good news, however, is that during the past five years since the withdrawal from Lebanon and the terrorist war, more Israelis have come to faith than in all of previous Israeli modern history put together. In the end the enemy will not win. God will come. He will come with vengeance and divine retribution to bring salvation!

But we must not be deceived. The fateful decisions that PM Rabin and President Clinton made through the Oslo Accords in 1993 were not as bad as what PM Sharon and President Bush are involved in right now. The deception and corruption today behind the Road Map are the same if not worse. And they will lead to horrible consequences, both for Israel and for America. We remind all of you of what the Bible says, “While people are saying, ‘Peace and safety,’ destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a
pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” (1 Th 5:3)

Since the early 1980’s we have prayed for Nathan Sharansky to be a prophetic voice in Israel. He commented this week that the governments decision to pull out from Gaza will not buy peace and acceptance from the world, but rather the very opposite. We ask you to continue to pray for him to stand strong for the truth.

The Lord says in Amos 3:7 that He will do nothing without first revealing His will to His servants the prophets. Here is a powerful prayer report from South Africa confirming what the Lord has spoken to us.

“I was praying for Israel today, praying the Psalms for today, and seeing where David says: ‘Your right hand will find all your enemies; your right hand will overtake those who hate you….. despite their scheme they won’t succeed.’ (Ps 21).

‘In your good pleasure make Tzyion prosper; rebuild the walls of Yerushalayim.’ (Ps 51).

‘Israel, if you would only listen to me! But my people did not listen to my voice; Israel would have none of me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts, to live by their own plans. How I wish my people would listen to me…I would quickly subdue their enemies.’ (Ps 81)

And I began to pray, as I have done many times, that the LORD would bring down Israel’s stubborn leaders. But as I thought of this, my mind went back to the stubborn Jewish leaders in power when Yeshua walked here. The LORD didn’t bring them down. He actually allowed their plans against Yeshua to succeed. The unspeakable, unimaginable thing happened. God had sent his Son, and now, the Son was dead. Seemingly, the leaders of Israel had deceitfully misled their people and got their own way.

But it didn’t end there. He gave them their way, and then, wonderfully turned the whole thing on its head, and got his own way, so gloriously, in the end, and brought salvation to his people.

Could this be the way he will work the present unspeakable thing out? Maybe Sharon’s government won’t fall. Maybe the Israeli leaders will get their evacuation going. Maybe the God-fearing settlers will be turned out of their homes. And many hurt, and many tears shed. But God will turn this whole thing on its head, and he will have his way, gloriously, in the end. He will plant them, and he will bring salvation to his people.

Then I read Ps. 111: ‘The deeds of the LORD are great. His work is full of majesty and splendor…the LORD is merciful and compassionate … He remembers His covenant forever. He shows His people how powerfully He works, by giving them the nations as their heritage. He sent redemption to His people and decreed that His covenant should last forever.’

It is very likely that the disengagement from Gaza will take place even though the consequences will be very grave. Isaiah 35 talks about God coming with vengeance and retribution with salvation and it specifically mentions the desert!

“Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs.” (Isa 35:5-6)

We believe that this will also happen this year in Israel in the midst of disengagement, conflict and terror. Let us pray for the “Let The Thirsty Come!” conference in the end of April and believe for mighty rivers of living water to a thirsty land! Glory to God!

Also, the police department in Israel said this week that because of the disengagement from Gaza they might not be able to provide security for the planned international gay festival in Jerusalem in August. We encourage all of you to protest against this abomination in Jerusalem by sending a fax to the Chief Commissioner for the Police Department in Jerusalem, Mr. Ilan Franko. His fax is +972-2-5391466. He has it in his authority to say no to this event. Even the Mayor of Jerusalem, who is against the holding of such a march through the city, does not have the legal right to forbid it. The last international gay festival in Rome drew 500,000 people. Let us pray that it will not happen in Jerusalem.

• Pray that the Lord will strengthen the feeble hands and steady the knees that give way among intercessors for Israel! • Pray for the Elijah Prayer Army that we can move in unity in powerful prophetic intercession! • Pray that God-fearing Jews in Israel will stand strong against deception and corruption in the government in peaceful ways! • Pray that God will gloriously work out His plan of salvation for Israel in the midst of what is going on and come with vengeance and salvation this year! • Rejoice in the Lord and praise Him for the victory! • Pray that the Lord will pour out his Spirit and do awesome things during the “Let the Thirsty Come!” conference in the desert April 28-30! • Deception – A Sign of the End Times

The first words from Yeshua describing the signs of the end of this age were, “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (Mt 24:4) Deception is everywhere today in the Church and we feel compelled as watchmen to warn.

The World Council of Churches, which is the largest Christian body outside of the Catholic Church, met this week in Switzerland and made a decision to encourage all their churches to divest in companies working with Israel in “the occupied territories.”

At the same time in Brussels, President Bush explained that Israel must help establish a viable, functioning Palestinian state with territorial contiguity. This means that Israel must give up more land and that the nation of Israel instead has to be divided. It is a direct contradiction of God’s promises and His eternal covenant with Israel.

We have a word for the Charismatic/prophetic movement today. It is Esther 4:14, “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.” Where are the prophets who should speak out today in America against what their elected leader is doing?

Prophets are either silent or they prophecy “pleasant things”, such as: “President Bush is realizing that Islam is the primary enemy today.” We say: watch out that no one deceives you! Islam’s number one goal over the past 35 years has been the establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of the Holy Land promised to the Jewish people. That President Bush also has made this his personal goal and priority means that he is right in line with the primary aspirations in Mecca rather than the Bible. A democratic Palestinian state will be an Islamic state where a majority supports suicide terror against Jews and the ultimate destruction of Israel. Of this we can be sure: it will never lead to peace. We must pray for President Bush, but most of all we must love the truth and then accept the consequences whatever they may be, or we will end up in deception. It is that simple.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Yeshua explained, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers [you who practice lawlessness]!’ ” (Mt 7:21-23)

The Charismatic/prophetic movement today is full of lawlessness. The recent public exposure of homosexuality and alcoholism in Paul Cain is only one of many similar cases. We do not mention this in order to point fingers at Paul Cain, but in order for all of us to search our hearts on a far deeper level, because things are so seriously out of line today!

Homosexuality or alcoholism does not develop in a matter of months or even a few years and yet Cain’s web site states, “Today, Paul Cain is acknowledged as a most prominent leadership figure in the Christian ‘prophetic’ movement.”
This is the alarming part! Thank God that Cain is repenting today. The question, however, is this: If the church missed it so bad in this matter, how many other things are we blind to today? After what has happened we cannot afford to go on with business as usual. It is a time for soul searching before God with tears and brokenness.

Many misinterpret 1 Cor 14:3 which says, “But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.” This verse does not mean that prophetic ministry is just to say sweet and positive things that people like to hear!! That is a perversion of the text. Much of what is going on today is pathetic rather than prophetic. Prophetic ministry is always encouragement for people who want to know the truth and walk in holiness. But it is also a sword that confronts, convicts and brings the fear of God. Look at the following example from the ministry of Paul and Barnabas.

“Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. ‘We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,’ they said.” (Acts 14:21-22) What strength and encouragement is it to tell people that there will be many hardships ahead? It is strength, encouragement and comfort for people with open hearts who want to know the truth and be prepared for what is coming! For everyone else the message is simply unpopular. It is impossible to be strengthened or encouraged as long as there is sin in our lives. It is impossible to have real comfort without repentance and forgiveness. We can be sure of one thing: any ministry that does not bring repentance is not prophetic!

But the situation today in the church is like in the days of Isaiah and Jeremiah. People want to go their own way and the prophets are too many times ending up in the error of Balaam, using the gift for the sake of profit. Both the leaders and the people are guilty for this horrible situation.

“A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land: The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. But what will you do in the end?” (Jer 5:30-31)

“These are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the LORD’s instruction. They say to the seers, ‘See no more visions!’ and to the prophets, ‘Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions. Leave this way, get off this path, and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!’ ” (Isa 30:10-11)

2 Tim 3:16 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” Any prophetic ministry that does not accomplish these things, is not in line with Scripture and therefore not from God! It is not easy to be a true prophet because most people do not like rebuke and correction.

Many in the Charismatic/prophetic movement who prophesy, cast out demons and perform miracles also practice lawlessness. The end of this will, just as Yeshua said, be eternal damnation and destruction. One of the most profound ministries anyone can have today is simply to rehearse and teach the very basics of the Ten Commandments!! That is truly prophetic!

“Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Co 6:9-10)

We know that this message is unpopular or disturbing for some, but we also know that it is encouraging to others who want to live pure and godly lives and are fighting against the sin and filth of this world. Dear reader, what side are you on? Paul found it necessary in his day to warn people that they must not be deceived to think that they can both believe in Yeshua and practice sin and still expect to end up in heaven. How much more do we need this today?

The Bible tells us that if we do not have a love for the truth we will in the end be deceived! We must warn people today: everything that can be shaken will be shaken! This means that everything that is not in line with the word of God will fall. We must love the truth, study the Scriptures and carefully apply its teaching to our lives in the fear of God, rather than just living off the latest spectacular word over the Internet from prophets who are eager to make a profit from their book sales and build their mailing lists.

God is building a highway of holiness today. “And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey in it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.” (Isa 35:8) Remember, those who primarily strive for greatness operate in the principle of the harlot, Babylon the Great. All who strive for holiness are part of the bride, Jerusalem, the Holy City! God help us all to be on the right side.

• Pray for a restoration of the fear of God and a love for the truth! • Pray for prophets who will expose sin and bring repentance! • Pray that the longing for holiness will be stronger than the desire for greatness! • Pray for a hunger to embrace teaching, rebuke, correction and training in righteousness in order to be ready to meet the Lord! • Pray for a remnant that will come clean from the filth of this world!

There must be a difference between Hollywood and God’s house. True repentance and godly sorrow for sin must return! We are living in the end times with deception all around us.

God bless you as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem!

– – – – – PART 3 (THREE) – – – – –

[Editor’s note: – one voice in this Gaza issue, a trusted and usually insightful teacher in Israel, has actually capitulated to hoping in Abu Mazen! See how confusing this all can be? Study, dear ones! Part 4 exposes Abu Mazen’s past and true makeup! Study more now than ever!

Always remember that your understanding of Israel’s place in modern events and in history (both biblical and secular) and in scriptural prophecy is CRUCIAL if you want to “know/discern the signs of the times” (Daniel 8:17, 9:25, Matthew 16:1-3) Israel is the LENSE that makes Biblical prophecy make sense!]

100 days. For the first time since the turn of the Millennium 2000, we have seen even a few months of relative quiet, even a ray of hope, in the Middle East.

That quiet ended last night at 11:20 pm at the “Stage” disco on Jonah the Prophet Street. Two suicide terrorists from Tul Karem (seemingly directed by the Islamic Jihad office in Damascus) tried to enter the disco, where a large birthday party was planned for 12:00 midnight. The security guard spotted them on the street and tried to stop them. One ran away, and the other set off the bomb. Due to this brave action of the guard, dozens of lives were saved. Still, 4 were killed on the spot; another seems to be dying in the hospital, and another 35 hospitalized with injuries.

This represents a major test for Abu Mazen. It shows that simply reconciling language is not enough. Law must be enforced. Abu Mazen has promised to find and prosecute those responsible. Let us pray that he will, for if not, stability for Israeli and Palestinian society is in jeopardy.

Nonetheless, the attitude among Israelis and Palestinians is one of cautious optimism on both sides. There is no euphoria – just a sober sense of determination to try to make a horrible situation somewhat better.

This positive turn [Editor’s note: Please read Part 5 before you agree!] has been by the grace of God, and in some sense by the courage and integrity demonstrated by three leaders: George Bush, Ariel Sharon, and Abu Mazen. One is a Christian, one a Jew; and one a Muslim. It can also be attributed to the fall of three evil men: Yassir Arafat, Sadam Hussein, and Osama Bin Laden.

As we have had 4 1
/2 years of terrorism and warfare, I believe it is God’s will for us to have a period of 4 1/2 years of quiet and stability, so that the gospel can be shared with both Israelis and Arabs. Let’s look again for some guideline in I Timothy 2:1-4 (our primary mandate for praying for the political situation).

First of all that … prayers be offered up … for all who are in governing authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life. For God … desires all men to be saved.

Our prayers follow this simple three-step procedure: 1. for government leaders 2. for social stability 3. for evangelism to all racial groups.

Please pray this way for the Middle East. We need to pray for the government leaders; sometimes I think some of our dear friends are praying against them instead of for them. There is a difference, a difference in attitude and faith.

· The EU, the UN, Arab states, Russia and the USA will not compensate Jewish Settlers for land given to Palestinian Arabs, nor help Transfer them.

· The World Bank will not pay Jewish Settlers Property Owners, but the World Bank will instead pay the Sharon Israeli Government (Sharon, Mofaz, Mazuz, Peres, Sarid) for Jewish Farms and Homes, and “Sell” give the Jewish property to the PA, making the Jewish transfer to Palestinians irreversible [It will be legally Palestinian Land for the first time in history] and enriching the Left and the PA. Jewish property rights will have been defiled by its leaders.

· The Sharon government will confiscate the Jewish Property from the Jewish owners and transfer the Jews, and give them 10% of the value of the confiscated property, homes farms, businesses, relocation costs.

· The P.A., EU, UN, Russia, Arab States, World Bank, IMF and USA will not, (and has not even been asked by the Sharon, Mofaz government), to compensate the thousands of victims of Palestinian Terror, nor their families, for the those who were murdered, maimed, disabled, crippled, paralyzed, burned in the past 5 years of PA sanctioned Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah terrorism, which Abbas has proven he can control when he wants to.

· Demolition of Jewish homes, communities, Hothouses, Graveyards, Synagogues in Jewish Settlements. [Sharon and Mofaz are now considering not demolishing but giving the property as is to the PA because wealthy Arab billionaires from Bahraine wish to pay billions to the PA for it].

· Gush Katif will be a closed Military Zone sometime after February 20 and before July preventing supporters from entering and Settlers subject to search and arrest for violation of Curfews,

· A Special Military Force made up of exclusively secular, non-Jewish IDF and Police is being trained to act solely against their fellow citizens to forcefully transfer them. There will be four Special Forces to every Jewish “Settler” citizen.

· Special caravans, remote Holding areas and Jails previously used for Palestinian Arab terrorists, are being set up to incarcerate Jewish Demonstrators, and Jewish Citizen Settlers who refuse transfer…

(Also from the Freeman Center for Strategic Studies – )

Who Is Abu Mazen?

The stronger the flow of Israeli and Western greetings to the office of Abu Mazen, the weaker is the prospect for the rise of a moderate Palestinian leadership, and the slimmer is the chance for peace.

The US did not embrace bin Laden’s and Saddam’s confidants and deputies. The US demanded – and rightly so – the dismantling of the entire terror regimes in Kabul and Baghdad as a prerequisite for a new chapter in Afghanistan’s and Iraq’s international relations. The elimination of rogue regimes has also been a pre-condition for the willingness of moderate elements to stick their neck out and enter the political arena.

A condition qua-non for fresh start in the attitude toward the Palestinians, must be the uprooting of the “old regime”, which has earned the notoriety of role-model of hijacking, international terrorism, inter-Arab treachery, systematic and brutal violation of commitments, corruption, human rights violations, hate-education and idolizing homicide bombers. The persistence of the old Palestinian regime precludes the possibility that moderate Palestinian elements would rise to power.

Abu Mazen has been Arafat’s effective #2 since the departure of Abu Jihad and Abu Iyaad. Abu Mazen has been recognized as Arafat’s #2 since the 1993 signing of the Oslo Accord. Along with Abu Ala`, Abu Mazen has been an intimate of Arafat since the 1950s. Abu Mazen did not emerge in the 2005 election from his underground hiding or from exile overseas. Abu Mazen campaigned as the top loyalist of Arafat, who was at his side during the rough days at the Ramalla’s Muqaata. During the 1950s, Abu Mazen starred – with Arafat and Abu Ala` – in the Palestinian cell of Cairo’s Muslim Brotherhood (the mentor of Hamas!). There he acquired the skills and connections, which have facilitated him engineering a series of understandings with Hamas since 1993. According to the understandings, the strategic common denominator between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas (Israel’s elimination via the “claim of return”) supersedes their tactical disagreements. Therefore, Abu Mazen does not proceed to eliminate Hamas, but rather attempts to integrate it. Therefore, Abu Mazen disagreed sometimes with Arafat tactically, but never disputed the strategy of Arafat, the founding father of the step-by-step policy to destroy the Jewish state.

In 1959, Abu Mazen was a prominent member in the newly established Fatah terror organization in Kuwait, which was the safe haven for Arafat, Abu Mazen, Abu Ala` and their colleagues, who had to flee Egypt for subversive activities.

In 1964 he joined Arafat in the Syrian safe haven, but had to flee in 1966 along with his leader, following the murder – by Fatah – of Syrian intelligence officers.

In 1970, Abu Mazen played a central role in the attempted PLO coup against King Hussein, and during the 1970s he was a member of the PLO leadership, which fueled a series of civil wars in Lebanon and tried to topple the Beirut regime.

In 1972, Abu Mazen was responsible for raising the funds, required for the Munich Massacre of 11 Israeli athletes. He acquired much of his subversive skills at the KGB headquarters in Moscow, where he received (at Moscow University) his Ph.D. on Holocaust Denial. No Western society would tolerate a h
olocaust denier holding a prominent position, but Abu Mazen has been accorded respect…

Since 1993, Abu Mazen has been the second most important Palestinian, forging the nature of the Palestinian society in general and its hate-education in particular (in PA schools and kindergartens, mosques and media), which has served as the manufacturing-line of Palestinian homicide bombers. Abu Mazen has been a master of double-talking and fork-tonguing. He has misled Israeli and Western policy-makers and public opinion-molders by leveraging his non-Arafat appearance: well shaved face, trendy ties, grandpa-like looks and a seemingly moderate rhetoric (when addressing Westerners).

Israeli and Western movers and shakers have been inclined to sacrifice a 50 year old track record on the altar of the wishful thinking, which has sanctified Oslo and its offshoots (Hebron and Wye Accords, Road Map and Disengagement). A US colloquialism states: “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.” Abu Mazen and his colleagues have fooled Israel and the US since 1993. Are Israel and the US intent upon earning the dubious title of “Suckers of the globe”?!

– – – – – And that’s it! – – – – –

If you’ve studied through these various streams. Good for you.

But let your study be between you and your God alone. It’s not something to be proud of … it’s a basic tenement of our faith that is largely lost to television and other time-wasting practices of the modern western church.

These are perilous times. Be sober.

However, the person who continues to study God’s perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don’t merely listen and forget; they actually do what God’s teachings say. (James 1:25)
