My Right Hand’s Art #04 Dec 2004 – The Future, Part 2

(The New Year’s comin up this month… but there’s more than one New Year! So I say make the best of ALL of ’em! has a calendar that will help you do that… it’s really beautiful and packed full of insights and will make a great Chanukah/Christmas gift! My family will also be celebrating Chanukah instead of “Christmas” for the 2nd year. We want our children to know the ancient celebrations… the ones Yeshua Himself celebrated (John 10:22)!)

The Future, Part 2

The time is NOW to get our eyes on Yeshua, the Author and Finisher of our faith –

“looking to Yeshua, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – Hebrews 12:2

In focusing on the “apple of His eye,” Jerusalem, this month we’re going to look at His New Jerusalem.

In order to spur your heart with the immediacy of our Lord’s return, consider this little tidbit from Avner & Rachel Boskey, Israelis and believers (

George W. Bush, on June 24th, 2002 went on record declaring official US policy regarding Israel and the Palestinians. … – active American support for the rapid creation of a Palestinian state within three years – Israel’s full withdrawal from large portions of the land promised by God to the Jewish people and repossessed by Israel in June 1967’s Six Day War – the stopping of all growth of Jewish life and infrastructure in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip – America will resolve questions about Israel’s borders, specifically regarding drawing and establishing them, as well as a re-division of Jerusalem

The prophet Joel prophesied that any nation which divides up the land of Israel by moving its borders will be severely judged by God when He returns in power (Joel 3:1-2; Deut.32:8-9).

And I add that it isn’t coincidence that Florida was ravaged by hurricanes and our volcanoes almost popped during the exact same time-period Bush was forcing Sharon to pull good Jewish people out of their homes in Gaza to appease Palestinian terrorists! A book called “Israel – the Blessing or the Curse” by Bill Koenig ( documents EVERY OCCASION (over the past 10 years) in which our country forced Israel’s hand (against God’s will) and disasters took place here in the USA within HOURS of each deed. We’re talking “atomic clock” accuracy, too!

That said, PRAY (and mabye even write “”!) that George W. does right by God concerning Israel (and the unborn, etc.). It’s important to our safety!

Warning duly delivered, on to brighter things!

This week I want to take you on a journey beyond the 1000 year reign of our Lord… to the “8th day” and the re-creation of our planet and his placing of us in his eternal, sinless age of triumph.

One thought that really excites me about the nature of God is that He preserves the down-trodden soul. I believe the most brilliant minds on our planet are RARELY “discovered” by mortal men! God alone knows the most brilliant and beautiful expressions of art and science… and, believe me, they are flowing through the mud and stones of houses around this planet even now! But he preserves those souls for a reason… this world is not worthy of them!

Hebrews 11:37-38a “They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; 38 (Of whom the world was not worthy)…”

But there will be the grandest renaissance known to mankind one day! The meek shall inherit the earth, Jesus said. And we will all be FREE to express without dysfunction. Oh, the art and invention that will be upon our earth!!!

All my life, while growing up in the Church, I was taught that the Redeemed would live eternally with God in Heaven. One of the most amazing discoveries I made when I started studying Bible prophecy is that the Redeemed are not going to live forever in Heaven. Rather, we are going to live on a new earth, and God is going to come down to that earth to live among us.

The Bible is very clear about this. Read Revelation 21:1-7 (included below). The only way you can get around the conclusion that the Redeemed will live eternally on a new earth is to spiritualize the new earth to mean Heaven. That is exactly what many Bible interpreters have done, and there is no justification for it.

John says in Revelation 21:1, “I saw a new heaven and a new earth.” What happens is that God burns up the old earth. We’re told in 2 Peter 3, that He will burn away all the pollution of Satan’s last revolt. He will take this earth and reshape it like a hot ball of wax, and out of that fiery inferno will come the new heavens and the new earth, an earth that will be refreshed and beautified and perfected to what God originally created before it was polluted by sin and changed by the curse (2 Peter 3:10-13). It will probably be greatly enlarged because it is going to serve as the foundation for a gigantic city – the New Jerusalem.

Just think of it! As God creates that new earth, we will most likely be suspended in the heavens inside the New Jerusalem watching the greatest fireworks display in the history of the cosmos. And when it’s all over, and the earth is refreshed and renewed, then the Lord will lower us down to the new earth inside the New Jerusalem (21:2). We are going to live eternally inside that glorious city located on the new earth.

That’s right, the Bible never teaches that we will spend eternity in Heaven. It teaches that we will spend eternity in new bodies in a New Jerusalem on a new earth, and it further teaches that God will come down to that new earth and live among us: “I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, ‘Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them'” (21:3). He’s going to wipe away every tear from our eyes, and there will no longer be any suffering – no pain, no death, no sorrow (21:4). He is going to make all things new, and we are going to live in perfect bliss in the New Jerusalem (21:5).

Woo-hoo!!! Exciting times we live in, I’ll tell ya!

Here’s the Scripture –

21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

As I was reading Rev. 21 again, the phrase “and there was no more sea” always bothered me… until today! I remembered the pre-Noachic conditions of our planet which were FAR more optimal to human biology (hence, the much longer lifetimes… that was real!). And, although there were seas in
the original creation, some biologists actually say that earth’s atmosphere was over twice our current density. A canopy of water above and an ocean of water below the surface provided moisture to spare and that ideal condition of pressure. Perfect, actually… whereas our current disorderly atmosphere is not so perfect… just ask your friends in Floridia.

May I suggest some GREAT ‘tv’ viewing? A clear picture of your destiny as a believer in Yeshua, Messiah of all mankind!

It’s more from and it’s as simple and profound as it gets! (You’ll need the “RealOne” player to view. Get it free here, if you don’t already have it – )

May your Chanukah (or Christmas) celebrations be filled with the joy of the eternal God of Love… and His Son, Yeshua, the Light of the World, who’s most extreme desire is to secure a safe place for His love to be fully manifest… here… on earth.
